Hello World!

Hi!  So I wanted to post a quick wave and hello to all the people who have visited my blog here from all over the world!  7 other  countries so far!  Thank you for looking at my work!

Mug Rugs

These are the first in a group of 12 mug rugs I'm creating for my living room.  Based off the patterns I found on a series of postcards, I created the applique patterns and then do the detail quilting.  Best part - I can toss them in the washing machine! 

These mug rugs are not for sale, but these or other patterns are easily made.  Final product is 5" x 7".  For a set of 4 this detailed I charge $36.00, or $10.00 each.

Pond Adventure Growth Chart

This piece was a the second piece I took down to Sweet Adeline's.  Frogs and Lily Pads, a Turtle, and a Mallard!  Perfect for a room with a blue or green theme. 

Field Friends Growth Chart

Growth Charts are a new thing for me, and I'm really enjoying putting them together.  This was my second one after making one for my nephews, and now they can be seen at Sweet Adeline's on Huffman. 

Easter Brights

This piece is about 12" x 18", perfect for a very small table, a coffee table, or a pretty placemat for a special person.  The purples, oranges adn yellows remind me of easter eggs.

Sunset Baby Quilt

This is a portion of a baby quilt I made for my latest nephew.  The bright colors are perfect for his Winnie-the-Pooh themed nursery.

Springtime Swirl

Peach and a pale green swirl around each other in this small table topper.  I particularly like how the colors remind me of manicured gardens.

Goldfish Pillow

This is a pillow I put together for fun.  I did the embroidery work on the gold fish myself, making my own applique.  This is a big part of my favorite pieces - creating applique, especially from pictures, is really fun!

This is the back of the same pillow.  Bright, cheerful, perfect for a bedroom or a living room for a pop of bright color.

Pinwheel Blues

This is a baby quilt I created for a friend this summer.  Her little boy is so cute wrapped up in it!

Happy Zags



Happy Zags is about 28" on a side, with angled corners to match the the angles of the zig-zag pattern.  In person the reds and purples steal the show, highlighted by the yellow and green.

The Colorwheel

This piece, the color wheel, is about two feet on a side.  I have been working on kaleidoscope quilts for a bit, and this is my favorite one so far!  It makes a very pretty table topper, or wall hanging.
